About Me
I am lucky enough to live in Malaga and work photographically in Marbella, Malaga making imagery and telling visual stories for clients from all over the world… I take commissions all along the Costa Del Sol and Southern Spain for weddings and events, and most of my commissions are  in Marbella. I am often invited to capture events in Malaga, Seville, Granada, Marbella, San Pedro, Puerto Banus, Cancelada, Estepona, Benahavis and Sotogrande.
I have been based in Spain for the last ten years with my beautiful  son and I have the good fortune to be invited to do what I love for my work; creating photographic images and wedding videos. I also do personal projects internationally, and you can read about these on my Personal Projects page.
Career History:
I was given my first camera when I was very young – with a press photographer for a mother, cameras were just another part of the household furniture in our home in Clapham Junction. And with a darkroom in the house (and usually a couple of tanks of film rinsing in the kitchen sink) I was in the darkroom making my own work by the age of 13… I had a Pentax Slr and lenses and then got into movies with super 8 – editing with bits of sellotape and scissors even though video was all the rage…
I always wanted to be an artist and filmmaker, and in my teens I was already painting, and making music videos on cine film for friends with part-time photographic jobs at the local newspaper. I had my first serious personal exhibition for my Fine Art degree show at Exeter University; it was a combination of film and photography, and I gained a double first class B.A. Hons… For Postgrad I went to Central Saint Martins and LCPDT.
I then trained on BBC material, directed for television and made personal work too. I went on to have exhibitions and installations, film productions, and collaborations in the UK. When I moved to Spain at the age of 30, I continued with my work, and a few years ago, I began to work with wedding professionals for couples marrying here.
I enjoy continually exploring and experimenting with ways of seeing and I am so happy that technology is evolving in a way that makes this continually new and exciting for both Photography and Cinematography.
So I think it’s time you tell me about you! I’d be delighted to find out more about your photographic or film project. That way we can begin to see your story unfold – one moment at a time – one frame at a time… Just get in touch!
